Amazon kondigde in maart 2022 een stock split aan. Dat is de eerste stock split van het bedrijf sinds 1999. De meningen over een stock split zijn verdeeld, maar over het algemeen is het zo dat daarmee een aandeel toegankelijker wordt voor beleggers.<\/p>

Tuurlijk zijn er soms mogelijkheden om via fracties in een aandeel te beleggen, maar sommige beleggers willen liever een \u2018echt\u2019 aandeel kopen. Voor uw beeldvorming, op het moment van schrijven (14 maart 2022) staat het aandeel Amazon rond de 2.900 dollar. De stock split is een \u201920-1 stock split\u2019, dus er zullen 20 keer zoveel aandelen komen, die dan een prijs van 145 dollar hebben. Nog steeds niet het goedkoopste aandeel, maar al een stuk toegankelijker!

De opdeling en opties<\/em><\/strong>
En even los van het aandeel, u weet dat veel beleggers ook met opties werken. Een optiecontract heeft betrekking op 100 aandelen. Zou een belegger nu met \u2018slechts\u2019 1 optiecontract Amazon werken, dan heeft die optie nu dus betrekking op een onderliggend bedrag van 1 x 100 x 2.900 = 290.000 dollar! Ter vergelijk, bij een belegger met bijvoorbeeld 200 optiecontracten KPN is de onderliggende waarde rond de 60.000 euro.<\/p>

Naast de betere toegankelijkheid voor beleggers en medewerkers zijn er meerdere redenen om tot een stock split over te gaan. Door de in absolute zin hoge actuele koers komt het aandeel nu niet in aanmerking om opgenomen te worden in de Dow Jones Industrial Average \u2013 aangezien deze toonaangevende index een prijs gewogen index is.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Nog even geduld<\/em><\/strong>
Het is overigens nog wel even wachten voordat het \u2018meer toegankelijke\u2019 aandeel beschikbaar is voor beleggers. Allereerst moeten de aandeelhouders nog toestemming geven. De eerste vrijdag van juni 2022 is vervolgens de stock split gepland, op maandag 6 juni 2022 gaat dan de handel in de nieuwe aandelen van start.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
