Inflatie, rente en beleggen<\/strong><\/p>

Belegt u en\/of volgt u het economische nieuws, dan gaat het hoofdzakelijk over inflatie, rente en hoe centrale overheden daarmee omgaan. Al het nieuws daargelaten, de beurzen hebben in ieder geval besloten om records te vestigen (ik schrijf dit medio juni 2021).<\/p>

De beurzen<\/strong><\/p>

Bij hoge inflatie, zullen centrale overheden hun steunpakken terugdringen en de rente (langzaam) gaan verhogen. Dat is niet goed voor de aandelenkoersen, immers andere beleggersvormen, zoals obligaties worden weer interessanter.<\/p>

Inflatie, inflatie en inflatie<\/strong><\/p>

De markt denkt dat de hoge inflatie van korte duur is. De centrale overheden delen deze mening.<\/p>

Kijken we naar de onderliggende krachten die de inflatie aanwakkeren dan vind ik een paar opmerkelijke feiten. Het begon voornamelijk met de inflatiecijfers in de US over april, die waren 4,2% (op jaarbasis). Echter, de tweedehands autoverkopen stegen alleen al met 10% die maand. Deze stijging was goed voor een derde van de totale maandelijkse stijging.<\/p>

Daarnaast was de grootste stijging, benzine met 49,6%!<\/p>

Ik ben van mening dat deze stijgingen van de bovengenoemde factoren niet zo zullen doorzetten de komende tijd. De vraag naar tweedehandsauto\u2019s is namelijk voor een groot deel ingegeven doordat enerzijds deze markten voor een groot deel stillagen tijdens de \u2018lockdowns\u2019 en anderzijds doordat een deel van de leaserijders overgestapt zijn naar een eigen, veelal tweedehandsauto.<\/p>

Vind u de benzineprijzen laag? Ik niet. Natuurlijk kan de olieprijs nog doorstijgen. Maar besef wel dat die stijging niet \u00e9\u00e9n-op-\u00e9\u00e9n doorberekend wordt in de benzineprijs. Immers de vaste kosten van een liter benzine zijn een belangrijk onderdeel.<\/p>

En dan de huizenprijzen!<\/strong><\/p>

Ook die zijn over het algemeen flink gestegen. Maar dan hebben we het over de verkoopprijzen. De huurprijzen stijgen meestal pas een jaar later. Dit, omdat contractueel meestal maar een keer per jaar een verhoging doorgevoerd kan worden.<\/p>

Dus deze \u2018cost of living\u2019 zal de komende tijd nog wel hoger worden.<\/p>

Conclusie<\/strong><\/p>

Maar alle factoren bij elkaar opgeteld ben ik het nu wel een keer eens met de Centrale Banken, de hoge inflatie zal van korte duur zijn.<\/p>
